After spending my time in national service with the civil defence force, I rolled the dice and decided to move to New Zealand for Uni having never been here prior and it ended up being one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I studied law and got admitted to the bar but quickly realised that there were more effective ways that I could have the level of social impact I wanted while also influencing the trajectory of the financial services industry as a whole. I went from the insurance space to tech to create a level of standardisation that was unprecedented in New Zealand to ensure that the average Joe is able to make informed choices with clear reporting to ensure nobody gets taken advantage of as a result of blind faith. Business aside however I love going on road trips to the countryside to get away from the city lights and enjoy travelling around the world as well. I love learning about different fields and enjoy attending gigs across various genres of music. In my down time you can find me simulator racing, watching various sports and shows, making music or spending time out with my mates. I’m a massive foodie as well and have what I like to think is a very diversified palette having been raised in Singapore and spending time abroad.
