Swami here. To tell about myself, I will probably be doing Ph.D. for next one year at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, USA. So, someone who would be willing to move to Houston at least for a year or so, would be great. Of course, no one should sacrifice their career ambitions for my sake. So please consider if you can do what you would like to do in Houston. I would support my spouse in whatever she wants to do. If someone wants to come to Houston and pursue a course, I can take care of living expenses, but tuition fee may or may not be possible with my Ph.D. stipend . But we can work together to find ways to make that happen.
I get 32000 USD per year and I anticipate that I can manage the expenses of two people in Houston. With my stipend, two people can live an upper middle-class life, not a luxurious life. I have lived a middle-class life all throughout and I am very happy with my life. I am on F1 student visa which means my spouse cannot work if she is dependent on my visa. Of course, she can apply for a job or a degree and get her own visa. I plan to be in academia or pharma industry as a research scientist after my Ph.D. and my salary in USA immediately after my Ph.D. could be anywhere from 55k-150k USD a year. I know life is not about money and that�s why I chose my profession, but I just want others to know what to expect from me.
I started this matrimonial profile because I realized marriage is about bringing two families together and not just two people. So far, I haven�t found anyone, so I would like to find someone through this route. I would like to follow all my cultural practices what was taught to me from young age i.e. doing Sandhya Vandhanam, celebrating all tambrahm festivals, going to Temple often, being humble and helpful to everyone. I like to be good friends with my wife and her family. I would like to host both my parents and my wife parents as often as possible once I become more financially stable. I believe the girl has equal rights to have the same proximity, a guy has with his parents and would like to give that happiness to my wife.
About my career - I am career-oriented person. I chose to do be a cancer researcher because I would like to have an impact in many people�s life by alleviating the sufferings caused by this disease. I would want to stay in this country to have a global impact by using the resources available here. After my Ph.D., I would be interested in doing a two-body search and would like to move to a city (within USA or another equally good country for research) where both my wife and I can have a good future.
